A 2Stroke National East.
« on: February 16, 2011, 01:46:01 PM »

How many of you guys would show for a 2stroke only National in the
Mid Atlantic Region?   Mid or late July.

Any firms out there interested in supporting this type of event?

Post 'em up or get me,  motogrady@yahoo.com if you'd like.

later all......grado

Are you asking about racers or spectators?

You can mark me down as attending as a spectator!  8) 8)

I was wondering the same thing. I don't race but would definitely do my best to be there as a spectator.

And what kind of event would you guys like to attend?

I mean, I would think no 4s at all.
Maybe a 1 day event, 85s, 125s, 250s and Open bikes.
2 half hour motos.
I'm conflicted with running a vintage class.  I'd like to promote the latest,
best stuff still out there.  A vintage class would bring guys for sure, especially if
we could land a few past pros........but I dunno, there's Ahrma for that, plus, that
was then, this is now.
No weight limits.
No 200 rule.
The track.  I'm thinking something totally new.  Sure, a Budds Creek or Einglishtown
would be great, but most are booked.  Tho new, it would have to be on par with the tracks of today.

Thoughts?

I am in Virginia, so TSM would be there for sure.

You should contact Ren: http://twostrokemotocross.com/race-schedule/revanche-two-stroke-track-day/

He is considering the same thing out west. Maybe you guys could share ideas/contacts and make some things happen. :)
Keep us posted, and welcome to the site!

If it is close to Pittsburgh and it is around the last week of July / first week of august there is the possibility I would be there since I would be in pittsburgh for 2 weeks around that time

All my prayers and good wishes for this. Good to see the 2T comeback worldwide!

There,s alot of 1997 to 04 125,s sitting in riders garages. I think alot of riders would like to be on a full gate on there 125,s. I would have  multiple 125 classes, since there,s  more 125,s and riders  and spectators  would Love to here 40 125,s  off the start and racing. I  would have a post entry, with 125 a,12-16 yr olds, 125 vet 30,40plus,125 beginner,125 c,b, 125 17-25,25-30  and  some kind of 250 classes, and a 85 class. With a post entry then you have leverage for sponsors, say you have 126 signed up for 125 c like the old days, sponsors would want to be a part of the crazy fun event. At round 3 of the Racer X vet series at aztalan in Lake Mills Wisconsin, the track had a last minute 125 35a class, 27 riders signed up and the track was under water so alot of people stayed way. The winner got a Past Blue Ribbon beer, just a fun race with a lower sign up fee. Everyone I think would like to have a practice day to learn the track and  a little longer race than a local event, maybe 5 or 6 laps, just an idea. I would go for it, but make it a fun event then you,ll have 600 plus riders easily.
