For me this year anyway. It was a shakedown run for both of us.The bike did well,I did less well. :-[ It was good to blow the cobwebs off anyway. 8)

I'd rather a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

If you don't fall off you are not going hard enough

Thanks. :) In my old age though,I've turned minimalist.I always ran a full graphics kit, protection and everything else. These days I like it clean though I do have at least a mx style skid plate.I know I should run at least a pipe guard too but don't want the weight-it hangs on a nail in the basement-maybe that helps a bit. ;D
I stopped one time and had a spider hanging off my visor.Since then I've been known as the guy that rides so slow spiders spin webs on me. :'(
It looks like it would be a fast trail but just over that rise(an excellent woods jump btw) is a ton of sideways roots.Fortunately,it swings to the right immediately after that and there is a barbed wire "catch fence" on the left side.I found out the hard way the first time I ran that trail. These days I take it easy on that section. :)
I agree,it is about time.I'd like to run a couple HS this fall. This ride proved to me I have a ways to go to get back to form.

I did get second-but I had to go to a 60t rear to pull it off. :o  :D
Sorry,no footage,I've yet to manage the technique of riding while taking pics of myself at the same time. :D

The pic with the bike leaning on the tree made me laugh...  Last time out, my buddy took his 7 year old son on his CRF50.   The ride went really well, except for when the little guy would fall..   Dad's bike doesn't have a side stand, mine does.  So I spent the ride picking junior up refireing the CRF and sending him on the down the trail.  As we were loading the bikes commenting on what a good day it was, my buddy said as soon as I'm done cleaning the bikes, I'm ordering a side stand.  I felt helpless at times when there was no place to lean my bike.  You told me and I didn't listen...  I'll correct that tonight

Its good to hear / see you are back where you belong...  getting the YZ dirty.

Ford -- I am sure I can give you a run for your money as the slowest guy on the trail!

Beautiful place you have to "work the cobwebs out" up there! Nice pics.
