Is this transmission in need of replacing!!?

Expert opinions on whether my transmission needs replacing please, its not slipping gears but as u can see the dogs are chipped in places which i imagine will only get worse quickly?

What do you recon, also is it possible to just machine them flat instead of replacing and where can i get this done?

If the transmission is Japanese it will be cast and case hardened - can't be machined.

Is the shift drum aluminum (KTM)? Looks like the anodizing is wearing off.

I didn't see any chipped gears or worn dogs. Gear dogs and mating slots can be easily undercut. Just looks like normal wear on the shift drum. Shitty oil might have been used.

whats a shift drum worth from KTM?

Any decent used ones on ebay?
