What color frame?????? Suzuki rm250...
« on: February 23, 2013, 08:15:03 PM »
I'm looking for opinions on what color to go with.  After having to rebuild my bottom end on the 05 rm250, I found a broken front engine mount. I'm getting it repaired tomorrow. I figure after having to strip down the frame for the other repairs I might as well get it powdercoated. I'm looking for ideas as to which color to go with? OEM? black? I'm not into yellow frames... Has anyone seen any other color used on a suzuki?
I want to get it done this week.

I think most very dark colors will work OK

how about either a very dark- midnight blue?
or a very dark, (almost black) red

Factory  Rm,s  where  black,  oem  is  kinda  of  a   silver, gray,  and black mix.   I think   blue  looks  the best   for RM,s.    Gusset-weld   the  lower frame   around   the linkage,  Rm  frames  like  to   break  in that area.

I painted the frame of my 04 RM with spray on bedliner. Everybody asks me where I got it powdercoated with a texture like that. It's a matte black with a very light texture, looks awesome, wears as good as powdercoat.

Have to agree. I think RM's look best in yellow and blue. That's probably a result of being a teen in the 80's and really getting into bikes at that time haha.

Beaner did you into any problems with the bedliner spray? Did you have to plug the holes or did the shop? How much $$ ?
How did it turn out? Was it sprayed everywhere?
