2012 KTM 250SX pipe cracked today!

Have about 40 hours on the bike. The pipe cracked today. WTF over!

WOW. If it did that go over the whole bike and make sure there are no FRAME cracks. Flexi frame can crack a pipe.

There have been a number of posts over at Thumpertalk and some other KTM forums that I go to. Seems to be a common problem with the 2011's and 2012's. Was hoping it was other owners bad luck. Not! I'll drill a couple of stop holes at the ends of the crack and weld. If it cracks again I'll go with FMF or Pro Circuit. The after markets give you a couple of extra ponies based on everything I've read. KTM was the 1st to crack 50hp mark with a 250! To bad they couldn't make a pipe to go along with it. Otherwise the bike has been flawless and easily keeps up with the the 450's!

surprised your lasted 40 hours. mine cracked in first 10. i love the PC pipes but they crack all the time to. my FMF has been the longest lasting pipe ive had.
