Some interesting information on the Jotagas MK 300 enduro bike which is apparently set to be produced in 2013. I have sent an email to the Australian importer to get more info on prices and release dates etc.
Until I hear back this is all I can find:












Their Bimota 300 enduro publicity stunt was a brilliant idea to get a small manufacturer from Europe into the worldwide media

Seems like Mika Ahola (multi time world enduro champ) died while developing this bike in a serious accident?

Mika Ahola ( R.I.P ) was doing the test riding for them before he died.
You would think the handling of the bike would be pretty good with that calibre of test rider.
Will be good to see them get of the ground.

Its a sad outcome which has undoubtedly slowed the development. Atleast he was doing what he loved!

Info from Australian importer:

Yes they are getting made as we speak

indicated time of arrival = early 2013

price: TBA

will test ride units be available? yes!

will they be ADR approved (road legal in AUS)? YES!


Info from company director:

Frame, Engine and Swingarm are bimota designed and manufactured!

then JTG assembles the bikes and ships it out!
So that  gives some comfort regarding buying from a small brand on there first attempt at an enduro bike. But in saying that JTG's trials bikes use a very similar motor and have stood the test of time.

I cant wait to hear more information from them in the coming months!

I like how they have intergrated the starter motor into the engine instead of it being an add on.
Shouldn't have KTM's starter issues. ;)

Im a big fan of the potentialy water cooled crank cases.
The water flows into the pump and up through the cases and into the cylinder.

cooler intake charge = more power

Very odd header pipe in the above photos. Seems to be a mixture of trails and enduro to make big power at idle, but not sure how it would go at any other RPMs. just one of many test pipes during development I suppose!

Older Polaris quads had the starter motor mounted under the engine and it was a bad location. The starter would constantly fill with water and rust - at $400 to $500 a pop. I don't think I've seen a flatter seat on a dirtbike, other wise a good looking scoot.
