I hope that guy got his pipe calculations correct.It would be a shame to invest that much time and money only to discover the exhaust is not quite right.

I've built more then a few "frankenstein" bikes and get the crankshaft centreline off by a small amount and the handling will be "off". ;D

On KTMTalk the builder noted the countershaft to swingarm geometry is very close to stock RZ. He also said that he will probably give up some HP for the 2 into 1 pipe but that its worth it for the look he is after.

So will all this mechanical beauty be covered up by full fairings? Hope not but if its a pavement scratcher....

The position of the crankshaft is critical to the "handling" of a motorcycle and when you have the rear motor mount doubling as the swingarm pivot this can lead to problems.If the donor motor is shorter then the original you end up moving the crankshaft centreline back in the chassis.I've shortened frames in an effort to get the crank back to the position where it belongs with good results.
