for a rider to keep his permanent number a rider must earn 25pts. it used to be one but they figured that was little to easy and not in the spirit of keeping a number. if Dowd is sponsored by Husky he will be racing husky(assuming its homo'ed)

as far as numbers go RC's #4 was semi retired after he retired. it is available to be picked again (though it would seem almost sacrelige for someone else to run it now) but it is avail. and with RC and suzuki teaming up with H&H i wouldnt be surprised if he did a few races like daytona and budds or southwick

Those types of steroids help you train with more intensity and heal quicker, they definitely dont make you faster. If he was blood doping like the road bikers do thats a little different.

I have no idea if he was on steroids or not but he was a chunky little kid. Only Motocross kept his weight down. Now he is "retired", it is not so unbelievable for him to balloon out like he did.

Direct quote please or it doesn't count.RC was chunky as a kid but he is famous for his work ethic when compared to virtually everyone else.He was a training machine with gobs of talent and when beaten by JS7,he trained even harder.The fact that someone reaches the top of their profession doesn't always mean it's because of drugs.If it was,I would have won the weed olympics when I was a teen.
As far as I'm concerned,I'd attribute his success to himself-nothing else.Retirement,age and not practicing or training for a few years just might give one a tendency to gain a little weight-especially if their body type was that way in the first place.
When anyone here puts on a few years-and pounds,it's likely not because they took steroids when they were younger-that's just life.
