2006 CR125 Build complete!
« on: February 26, 2011, 11:01:32 AM »
Just finished my son's next ride and thought I would share some pics with some 2 stroke enthusiasts.  Bought the bike bone stock for $1,800.  It was totally mint and had only been ridden a couple time, then the owner crashed (bent bars) and sat in his garage for 4 years.  It really was a great find.

Some of the mods:

  • Throttle Jockey 2010 Factory Honda graphics
  • White rear fender and red seat cover to complete 2010 look
  • Carbon Fiber clutch and ignition covers
  • Pro Circuit Titanium Pegs
  • Pro Circuit Top Clamp
  • Pro Circuit Launch Control
  • CRF Stuff 280mm Brake Kit
  • Pro Circuit works pipe and silencer
  • Keihin 36mm Carb

I was just looking at that closeup, and it looks like there is something wrong with the bolt holding the rear brake lever. It's sticking out a little. Same thing happened to my bike. It snapped in half...

Thanks all.

The carbon covers are hard to find now.  They were made by a company that no longer exist.  Try ebay

I checked the rear brake bolt and its in there nice and tight- Thanks for the heads up thought.

I can't believe what a difference the Keihin carb on the snappiness of the bike.  It really rips just like his 85 and supermini.

Seriously?
a seat bump on a 125?
 HA HA HA HA!!

it is obviously a scoop out of the foam to lower the seat hieght, but at first glance i spit my coffee on the key board laughing.
It really is a nice bike, let us know how that CArbon fiber clutch cover holds oil, I hear they warp when the get hot and leak.

And welcome to the forum.
If a pair of 2" brass balls isn't working, I doubt that the 3" model will make much difference.

Glad to provide some humor.  Amazing what you can do with an electric knife and a dremel.

The rider is 12 years old, so he needs a little help touching the ground.

Here are a couple videos of the rider:

Oh cool, you guys are in Washington. Did you go to Port Angeles last weekend? I thought I saw an 85 that looked like that... But it wasn't running right. Probably not jetted for the cold temp.
