Alright I want to race motocross next year and I either want the YZ125 or the YZ250. I'm 5'6 and 125 pounds and I'm 15. I was scared to go past 3rd gear pinned on a 185 4 stroke dirt bike but that was a year ago. Will he YZ125 have the torque of that 185

grab you a yz 125. Pick up a shorty silencer and put 52 teeth on the back. It'll give you some more off the bottom so your not bogging everywhere. I think you'd out grow the 100 fast not the power but the height

I'd tend to personally agree with this. You can also do away with the topend, if you think it is too abrupt.  Takes away the powerband feel, until you are ready for it.
