The second one looks too "ADB" to me.  Not a big fan of stars and stripes and things on my dirtbike :)  looks weird!

Modest beginings start with a single blow of a horn, man.

I was going to try to do the conversion for the yz's but if I remember correctly it was around $3000 maybe more to do the whole conversion :(

I wonder how much VdLaarRacing is asking for the kit?

Looks like the 125's have handmade aluminum tanks.

That price was from them and yes they are custom made tanks.... that was a huge part of the cost.

I wouldn't think the tank should cost that much.  I bet Canton could pull it off for $500.  Good looking bike though.

So do we have an actual price and availability of this kit yet?? I was expecting an email once it was ready, but didnt receive one. Can you buy parts of the kit and source plastics etc locally, or is it only available as a full kit ??

They way I understood it was it was a kit available only directly from them. I sure would love to do it though!

I think the Yammaha 250f is Ugly.........has anyone done a conversion on the previous 4pig chassis? How hard would it be............especially for Yamaha to do as they still make the WR in the old shape..

That YZ does look a little more attractive but only coz of the engine..

That stars-and-stripes deal reminds me of this clip from Top Gear's Vietnam special.  The relevant bit starts at 4:00 (although I recommend watching the entire special, because it's really the only time Top Gear ever featured two-strokes).

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

I wonder if we could get any other views of the tank and subframe? One of the guys here locally that owns a 4x4 shop and does custom fabrication said he could build me the subframe and tank no problem if we can figure out the dimensions etc.... I don't really want to do it as a trial and error type thing cuz that would get spendy real quick working with aluminum.
