I've seen it floating around, but I'm not sure when.  When I think of kick-ass sportbikes, I always find myself lamenting about how that field is even more four-stroke-ish than motocross.  This looks like the perfect answer!  Every single sentence on that site just makes me want one, and right away.  From the sound of it, that bike would absolutely molest anything that got in its way.

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

It is interesting to note that the engines are piston port induction and not case reed.

You need to go down to OPSM :D There are barrel reeds there, the cases are Matoon 'shee cases.

The manufacturer also seems adamant about powervalves being rpm sensitive when I would think that a powervalve should be load sensitive -i.e. when the rear tire lights up in a low traction situation the powervalve would retard exhaust port timing to regain traction. I'm thinking from an offroad perspective and maybe the street is different. ::)

I've seen this bike for the last few years and for some reason it still looks the same, half built. Does anyone know if Two Stroke Shop ever finished this or did they just throw it in the back of the shop somewhere?

They have confirmed orders for 4 bikes. TSS has been VERY busy assembling and shipping their TSS 500 engines to customers worldwide. Putting that project to bed is their immediate priority.
