Just read you guys said the CRF150R was discontinued.
« on: April 21, 2010, 08:48:33 AM »
Interesting. Can anyone find me the post where a PR was put out about the Honda sponsored 150cc series in Europe?  I'm trying to show my friend that is a 4 stroke lover, that Honda was making the series to sell their bike and it didn't work.

I am very interested to see where Honda goes.  First, the 150R is dead. So they have no 85cc no 125cc and no 100cc bikes for those classes.  So basically giving up millions of dollars.  I am wondering if they will stick to their no 2 strokes, or cave and start building atleast the 85 again, if not the 125. Just waiting to see.

lol, after reading that I had to check Honda's website. If they can't race the 150, then all they have to offer the young racer is a trail bike. Very foolish Honda.

Ya, well, same deal with Suzuki, I think they are holding out on their 2010 models for a while, or, they aren't soming out with a 2010 at all, they may just have so many of them sitting around
I'd rather be riding...

So there you have it, 4 strokes rule the showroom floor space. They like it so well, they just sit there year after year. As was mentioned in another thread, you can't even find a ktm 250sx in the states as they're all sold out.

I think it'd be wise for Honda to take back 75% of all the handicap bikes from the dealers, pull the engines (make those available at a reduced price in the parts counters, for those who are gonna need them) and retrofit 250 2 stroke motors into those frames. :D

I was driving to work this morning, and a Honda Motorsports came on the radio.  The voice-over guy was one of those "MONSTER TRUCK MAYHEM!!  YOU'LL BUY THE WHOLE SEAT, BUT YOU'LL ONLY NEED THE EDGE!!" kind of guys.  The ad was saying they got clearance from Honda to sell below liquidation prices, so you could have a CRF150R for just $1,995!!!

I laughed so hard I didn't even realize the light turned green until some guy honked his horn behind me.  They're running out of room to store those heaps.

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

I'd buy that bike for that price.  I want to build a CR250R mini. That would be a perfect price. Sell the motor for about what you have in the bike.

I'm sure there are all kinds of motors that can be wedged in there, and I've seen a rolling chassis go for more.  So you get a brand new rolling chassis, the perfect size for a petite girlfriend or sixth-grader, and a stylish heavy-duty paperweight for free!
