I'd rather a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal lobotomy.

WOW,

It's strange how everything that the FOOPER hype machine talks up about the 4 Strokes looks like it doesn't hold water here... And it's SO OBVIOUS.

At the "Water Pipe" hill, the FOOPERS are struggling while Stroker after Stroker screams up the hill. the announcer even says at one point, "Here comes Mr. Foopersburgh on a big KTM Buttfart... that's the machine to get up this hill on..." And the other announcer's saying, "Wow listen to that big, throaty roar...." just like they do here, contatnly hyping the Fartstrokes. Then, as the guy grinds to a hault on the hill, they say "Oh... he's making a liar out of me now by not making it..."

For YEARS now, all we've heard is "The 4 Strokes we're riding now break down much more often because they are so super poweful and rocket fast with the highest technology, and they just have the tourqe and the powergrip to rooser tail up these hills with a HUGE roost of these BIG 450's..." "And by the way, it's not true that they sound like farts".

But here we are watching a very steep and demanding hill, and the 2 strokes are making the pigs look rediculous... Neither powerful or quick in any substantial way.

I think 4 stroke dirtbikes are a phase, kind of like "Glam Rock" in a way. You see the whole world subscribing to it, and you wonder how everyone could be choking down so much Kool Aid and Spam... Then 10 Years later, nothing's left but the timeless stuff from before and after..

Some of the 4t's did well on different sections but the 2t,especially the 300's tend to be overwhelming choice for off road.Power delivery aside,4t's don't like the tight going or things like the rock section unless you put a fan kit on them which makes them even heavier.KTM hit a winner with their 300 estart 2t imo.
Did you see Johnny Walker in the Dynamite section :o Jebus Cripes,I could never do that on my best day at any age. :-[

True... But it's not just the tight stuff, by any stretch.

I notice that when 2 strokes kick Fooper ass and take names, like in this race for example, the fake motorcycle press which is mostly just a monthly recitation of manufacturer hype of the month always spin it like this -

"This year's Erzberg course featured lots of tight, slow speed sections that favored the little two strokes with their not much power... We spoke to the first 4 stroke accross the line when he pulled in the next day after everyone had left the quarry and found out that the course was actually too small for the explosive atom bomb of the ripping 4 Stoke power with it's deep throaty sound {Not a farty sound at all} After the big 450 rider calmed the massive roost from his masculine bull of a raging tourqe traction rocket down, we asked how his bike which is the fastest in the world according to Bart Buttfart from American Fonda, plus Vital MX and all the insdustry people there who try to pose as regular moto fans and post carefully polished "Just a normal racer/rider like you" pro 4 stonk propaganda? He said "The whole time I was out there, I was wishing I could have been riding our new 350 Four Stroke because [then he began to read the 350 brochure]..."

The fact is that on the big, straight hills where you pin it, the 2 strokes were leaving the Foopers behind and making them look absolutely stupid.

All the garbage they've been spitting on TV for years about how the 4 strokes are superior off the start and up the hills, even while 2 strokes in the race beat them off the line almost every time and up the hills almost every time, is bull crap apparntly.

I am from the "if some is good, more is better...." camp -- hence I ride the 380 ;-)
(but I sure as hell don't ride it like any of those guys)
