Introduction
« on: March 07, 2010, 08:14:13 PM »
Hello. I just wanted to introduce myself to the masses. I really enjoy the site and pop in on it frequently. I recently started perusing the forum and thought I would join in all the fun. I have been riding since I was 9 (27 now) and love MX/SX but I do not race. I have a 1993 CR125R (YAY!) and a 2005 RMZ250 (BOO!). I am getting the pig ready to sell, soon. I bought into the hype about 4bangers being the greatest thing ever and I was just not impressed.

I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Welcome...  I'll make you a friendly wager...  I'll bet the little ring a ding dinger, even if it is 17 years old, puts a bigger smile on your face then the bloated RMZ...   :D

That Honda's too new! ;)

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

I know! I was actually looking for something from late 70's thru the early 80's but this thing just fell into my lap (figure of speech, not literally). The guy who owned it was looking for a TTR125 which is what I had bought for my wife several years ago. He said he would swap straight up for it, and after blubooking them to see if they were pretty close to even we swapped. I am happy with it, and I am looking forward to prettying it up a bit and running it for years to come, unless someone wants to swap an 81 Maico 490 for it!  ;D
