Anaheim 1, M.Sleeter on two stroke?!?
« on: January 09, 2010, 03:29:22 PM »
I was watching some live timing right now from anaheim, and it seems Sleeter i s riding a two stroke? or is this a mess up in the list?
In the list it says: 111 Sleeter,M  250sx. He´s riding in the supercross class so i dont think it´s an f missing.
I never crash -I just make unexpected decelerations

losec - you've just given me hope for the night!! If I'm going to stay up late to watch I'd at least like to see one two stroke!! I'll be yelling and jumping up and down in front of the TV tonight!

Thanks for the update!

Hey Everyone,

This is about the COOLEST THING I'VE SEEN IN A LONG TIME! The only thing more unusual than watching him scream around the track will be listening to how the comentator retards manage to completely deprive the guy and his 1/2 sized bike of any recongnition, even if he does well! Well, no actually that's NOT unusual, since they ALWAYS do that. During the enduro cross event, I had to laugh because David Bailey and the other comenta-tard, were sitting there watiching as Taddy and another guy on a 2 Stroke KTM/Christini 2 Wheel drive Ran away with the race, without the usual amount of talking up from the comenta-tards. Meanwhile, what the comenta-tards WERE talking about a lot was 2 other guys on Kawasaki 4-Porkers who were languishing in like 3rd or 4th, and like 7th....! ......Oh, and another one who's bike had apparently just quit on him in the course of the tough 8 minute race.

They kept saying things like, "Well Dave, it's a long race and in an event like enduro cross brought to you tonight by Kool Aid,... you never know when Destry Abbott's gonna put the power of that big 450 to the ground and bring it in for the checkers here at Ass-Boyle Stadium!!!"

"Yeah Ralph!... I had a chance to talk to Destry earlier today right after his mechanic Ritchie Rich and team manager Warbucks finished installing a new EFI Equipped waterpump with purple anodizing... Did you know that those pumps use special magnetic water now to coax the gasoline out of the crankcase oil??? How Exciting!!! And he was telling me about the way the more advanced modern machines huge power and state of the wow isn't that cool pushes out the manpower!!!"

In the pits, Abbott said "It's like a conveyor belt to the finish line, and these new Kool Aid bikes are as exciting to ride as a trip to the grocery store too". "It feels and sounds kind of like the XR100 I had as a kid, except bigger. But, like you have to imagine that bike after it went through puberty!" "Myself and the other guys out here on the 4 strokes just want everyone to know that if it looks like we're taking our time aound the track tonight, or like we get stuck on all the big rocks and stuff and then can't lift the bike over them so we're stuck for a while, it's just because we're enjoying the new XR100 type motocross bikes that Transworld Motocross says are so smoochie good so much, we don't ever want the race to end...."

"Whoa!!! Taddy B, your current leader who has lead almost the whole race at this point, just had a sleight bobble going through that greasy olympic sized swimming pool obsticle!"

"Yeah Ralph, that mistake may have been caused by the fact that Taddy opted to run this race tonight on an older style KTM... I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for his sake that he isn't held back too much by the little 2 stroke..."

"He's in my prayers Dave, meanwhile just a minute or so behind your leaders, Destry Abbott, riding a BIG 450 continues to charge forward like a stallion!!!"

"Yeah Ralph!... From here it looks like Abbotts actually moving faster than the the KTM's at the front. That KX450F has Bull's Balls!!!"

Well, I'm exagerating that a little bit, but the announcments have become a joke.

Thanks,

Jim

I think 4 stroke dirtbikes are a phase, kind of like "Glam Rock" in a way. You see the whole world subscribing to it, and you wonder how everyone could be choking down so much Kool Aid and Spam... Then 10 Years later, nothing's left but the timeless stuff from before and after..

That's a really excellent post.  Reminds me of some of Super Hunky's writing (except he liked to parody advertisers, BLM officials and lawyers.)

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

Dungey impressed me a lot and Sleeter was on a 4 stroke :( hahah J-LAW finished 17th lol First race in two years that I was jumping nervously in my living room!!! Ricky Carmichael is fat and the main announcer was impressed by the power/traction of the 450S and he did the comparison with racing of the 90s..He needs a slap!

I was trying to figure out at the beginning if that was a real quote or if you were making fun of the announcers, althought they do a good enough job of that themselves.
I'd rather be riding...
