2-stroke World Championships
« on: August 05, 2010, 03:56:11 PM »
I emailed the promoter of the 2-stroke World Championships, John Perry, some time ago and finally got a phone call from him. We talked about adding a 144cc class to the next race. I told him I would talk to everyone on here first to see what kind of race wold be the best.

Should we have a 150 race or a 125 race?

I would go with 125 just because there are alot more 125's around.
Not sure if they have an age limit on the bikes, but a 05 125 is the same as an 08 125 with most of the jap bikes.
Probably need to ask the riders themselves.

For now I say 125. If the rule change happens next year I would promote 150's.

He wants to also have another race besides Glen Helen. He wanted input on what would be a good track to have it at.

Where should the other race be at?

I would like to see it be at either High Point or Budds Creek so they have one on the east coast & weat coast. As far as 125 or 144/150 I think it would almost have to be 125's due to availability.
