the best stuff money can buy is SC1. "new bike in a can" smells like candy, lol. it will make 10 y/o plastic look brand new. most guys i know carry it, its a most before a first morning practice or if you anything before moto 4-5. nothing sticks and just give your fender thump and it all falls off. spray your cases, fenders the entire front of the chassis works great, last longer than pam too. try a can you'll love it. and after you wash your bike spray it on your plastics and prepare to be amazed!!!!

Technical / 500 a/f question for you all
« on: November 28, 2010, 11:03:34 PM »
so this question has been bugging me for a while and after the 450/250 f chassis discussion in my MPS bike thread i just need to get to the bottom of this....... its about exhaust, and how you mount it. with all the different types of conversions out there how does this work. there have been many different generations of frames did you convert a cr 250 frame or a 450/250 f bla bla bla, so im assuming its as simple as when the frame is converted they change the main cradle to allow the head of the pipe and the mounts to work but do they change the location of the tail end of the pipe and the silencer? so if its done correctly you should be able to mount a true cr500 pipe up right? basically im asking this, i buy this fancy new sh 500a/f and smash my pipe, do i just go on line and order a pro circuit cr 500r pipe meant to fit a 2001 cr and it mounts right up? did i just answer my own question, haha!!!! im also curious about air box and filters, are they the airbox and air filter designed for that chassis? im also assuming that if you own a 500 a/f your parts, other than motor, would be specific to the year and model of the chassis, is this correct.

thanks im trying to get a feel for the a/f thing as i might be on the hunt for one for next race season.

General Two Stroke Talk / got a new PC works pipe
« on: November 20, 2010, 12:14:42 PM »
so i finally sprung for a new pipe on the 09 yz, went with the pro circuit works pipe. i had ben racing my bike all year 100% stock, and wow did it rip. but it was time for a new one. stock for me the bike pulled smooth all the way through but i felt like i wanted a little more on the top. imo this pipe does just that. it feels snappier and like it will pull longer now. mainly coming out a corner into a long stright i noticed i could stretch each shift a little bit. this helped me my last race, against a bunch of pigs. i was able to hold it on longer and didnt lose anything in this situation. just thought i would share the obvious, i know most mx guys run this pipe and i wanted to give my own personal 2 thumbs up. oh im running it with the r304 shorty.

next on the list are new v-force reeds.

General Two Stroke Talk / Re: im off to glen helen.....
« on: October 06, 2010, 10:46:06 PM »
no wasnt me, wish it was though, lol. im from nor cal. exactly 396 miles from my house to the front gate of glen helen.

amen to the 500, that would have knocked some lights out of the 450's, hahaha maybe one day.

i will second that the track has changed, just like every other track. just for example, when you come off the first hill and make the u turn under the cat walk bridge they give you like 30-40 feet to pin it and begin your climb to the sky up mt st helen. that turn is always a slop hole rutted holy mess with nothing but an inside trench of a rut that drifts to the outside and off you go. the rest of the turn is sloppy loam.
