But since she mentioned it...  I'll be happy to look into it...

thanks epro, it is nice to be distracted with this.

OK, crank back, dropped in bearings and drew crank into right side case. assembled transmission and fitted left side case onto right side, bolted together and checked gear selection function. Cylinder sent to Powerseal USA and will assemble clutch and kick spindal etc next.

sending these out to power seal soon, should have the crank back in a few days so I will post pics of assembly.

here are the cases split. Both crank bearings growly and another to the main main shaft. I think the rod is bent a bit but no worries, this whole assembly will be in the round file and I will start with a different crank assembly. I have the crank bearings, I just have to find them. I may have to order a seal. The crank rebuild will only cost me labor at about $150. Suggestions for re-plating?

Ron- Parts are a bear to find, but they are out there

Coop- Thanks mate,  same with this bike ignition was crap, bought an aftermarket from Belgium, it works just fine.

epro, thanks mate on both accounts.

alright after making whole sale changes in my life in hopes to win my wife back, which has worked to an extent, I have decided that my 90 katoom needs to be resurrected. Doubt you can remember but she grenaded on me at a race a couple years ago and had shelved her due to frustration. Well she had been a litany of let downs before I put her away and after contemplating selling the old girl, the good Lord told me to rebuild her, so I recently purchased another crank from ebay to have rebuilt in the coming months, then its cylinder re-plating and I will  have her running again.

Happy New Year everyone!

And Racer-X, did you ever think a track so simple looking could have so many bumps? No big jumps, no whoop section, and yet still will separate the men from the boys. Been going to Claverack since 1981! Has not changed on bit and that's a good thing.

this is true, the off chambers are most tricky, not used to the hard pack either. I do get excited to race there its like a little Dilla.

Merry Christmas all! very intimate gathering with family at my brothers house, heck even my ex-wife in waiting gave me a gift! A blessed day indeed. God bless you all and good health in the new year to come.

Thanks John, very good information you've provided. This is now one of my top 3 tracks besides Dilla and the wick. If I see Joe Ill say hello.
