Open Forum / Advice on bodywork and panel beating
« on: June 23, 2013, 08:02:59 PM »
Hi guys, this will be a bit of an odd post for this site but its the only forum I'm on and you all seem fairly knowledgeable people so here goes.
I've been working on restoring an old International tractor and now need to create some new mudguards and doors, the problem I'm having is that the mudguards curves on two axis.
Unfortunately my camera is broken at the minute and this is the only photo I have of it, you can see what I mean though about the mudguards.

Thanks in advance guys, your advice is always appreciated.

I wish there was somewhere like this near me, unfortunately your bikes have to be road legal and and you have to pass your bike test and even then you have to wait two years before you can ride a bike with more than 33hp annd if you do all that there's still no trails in the local area so I'd have to travel miles to find one.

I had some cheap wheels on my KTM (cost about half what excel rims would have been) I think they were called 360 and they were great wheels, never seen another set before or since though.

404ed

Looks like they've removed it now but it was an early nineties kx250 with 02- cr 250 radiator shrouds, front mudguard and number board that he was trying to sell as a 2002 cr 250.

Well citabjockey, one would look only as far as the Vet class. There, age is the class deliniator. I think the guy that won the World Championship, as well as the Aus/NZ championships...as well as NZ MX2 (I think) in on a YZ 250.

Nope. :(
DK ran a 450 in the world Vets. He won btw.

Unless what  I was watching on TV was last year, DK was on a YZ250 at the World Vets and beat them handedly. Ofcourse, MotorsTV replays things over and over so it could have been 2011 rather than 2012...

If you watched it on motors TV it was probably years out of date, hardly ever is the racing on their up to date.

Also post up a picture of the zappy end of your spark plug.

Is that a technical term stu.?

Hey it zaps so why not call it the zappy end?  8) Whats the fun in spark testing if you don't use your own body as the ground :D

Hahaha thought it was just us farmers that tested electrics by putting our fingers electrical stuff and turning the engine over in the hope of being electrocuted.

When do you get your 380 motors for them?

Hi I recently bought a Husqvarna CR125 1999, it was dirt cheap and is almost totally mint, just needs a new stator.
I have found a company who produces aftermarket complete electronics packs for this bike but I just wondered if anyone had any experience of these people as I haven't heard of them before at all.

Honestly the easiest and cheapest way to get bottom end from a yz is to swap it for an rm, the rm has a powervalve and the yz doesnt so the rms power is spread out a lot more. Trust me I had both.

Motocross yz is best, but enduro is where the rm begins to kick ass.
