Thanks man! Its a 250, I almost wish it was a 125 because I've never raced one of my own, but I will some day. How fast is millennium tech's turn around time? Its been almost 2 years since I last sent out a cylinder to them, just wondering if it's still about 2 weeks or so?

Well hey if the AMA thinks they're on 250f's, maybe they should be in the 250 class? You know like a fair race?  ;)

HA not yet, cylinder is still at millennium tech, but I fixed that fender today  ;D I made my mounts adjustable, so I lowered it a lot, no longer looks like a hill climber  8)  I have everything else on it, carb got a good cleaning and re-set, reeds are in, everything else is literally all in and ready, just waiting on my cylinder, so excited. Pics as soon as I get back home.

On a side note, the clutch seems way hard to pull, like it isn't totally disengaging  ??? Maybe it's just different than what I'm used to, I'll see when I get it running

I'd race the 90's open vintage but I guess the 08 suspension would have to come out for the day and I'm waaaaaay to lazy to swap it out  ;D I would like to swing by and watch and ride in some practice blocks though if I can, just gotta find a trailer to borrow for the weekend  :<img src=" title="Roll Eyes" class="smiley">

Buy a new alloy washer
Yup, or a copper washer in there and clean the mating surfaces. This may sound like a stupid question, but are you sure its the drain plug? Being the lowest spot under the bike, if it were leaking from a gasket it would collect and drip from the drain plug. Just a suggestion, as lots of people (as in a past owner) will put old, sometimes even ripped, gaskets back in and will cause a leak as well.

As far as motor mods go, what are you looking to get? More bottom grunt, a screaming top end? You can do these by getting the right pipes, jetting for said pipes, installing better reeds like a rad valve or Vforce, porting, cylinder head work, and even an over size kit if you really want more power everywhere. The possibilities are pretty open for what you want to do and how much money you would like to spend. As far as finding someone to do the porting and re-plate (I think you mentioned porting but I'm to lazy to read through it again), I am impressed with millennium tech for re-plating, and I do believe that they can port as well, however don't quote me there as I'm not 100% sure.

Just ask around at a local track or riding club. Odds are someone does engine work or knows of someone who will do it.
