General Two Stroke Talk / rm 125 piston size''''s

The small amount of difference should be fine. I have never used a pro x piston, I stick to wiseco, but if you do end up by using a pro x, let me know how it works out.

You could check the timing, it wouldn't hurt. But the main jet has a series of small holes that go up the length of the jet, if the higher ones are clogged but the whole jet isn't completely, then that could also be your reason that the engine might not be getting enough fuel to hit power band.  At least I think the jet should have those holes, my bike doesn't, but like I said, I'm not a Maico pro by any means.

If it isn't hitting power band by bogging down, then you may want to check the compression as factoryx had mentioned. Or maybe your main jet is clogged. If it has sit in storage, or just hasn't been cleaned in a while, then after a quick compression test, the carb may be a good place to check as well. I have never ridden a big bore Maico so I couldn't tell you how revy they should be for such a large engine.

When you say its not running the pipe, I am assuming that you mean lacking power? In any case I would try cleaning the carb and maybe consider checking your power valves. I'm not a big Maico professional, so that's all I got :-X   Best of luck to you  :)

I have recently discovered this place on the map. Its about a forty five minuet drive from my house for the indoor track that I am contemplating visiting some time in the winter. Anyone else ever been, or heard reviews on? Would it be worth the drive?, I just don't want to loading up to see a pit bike track with a roof over it  :-

Non-Moto / Stupid Or embarrassing things you have done on a bike
« on: November 18, 2011, 10:37:51 PM »
Last fall I was going down a hill on my yz250 and probably doing about 50. Anyways, I looked backwards at something... so stupid of me :'( You know how they say that you turn the way you look? Well it doesnt work like that, I wish it did I would have been fine. But anyways, I was going down, looked backwards and didnt turn ENOUGH to avoid some waist high wooden poles on the side of the road. Needless to say I hit them... Just my foot and leg though, Thank God the bike was alright. In the end, I went to the hospital with an almost severed achilles tendon, and 15 stitckes, along with a million splinters on the leg that hit the pole. I was back on my bike in about two weeks though, lucky for me I wasnt out to long.  ;D
