General Two Stroke Talk / Woods and track tires?
« on: March 16, 2013, 04:17:17 PM »

Motoz Enduro ST is the best for the OP's needs... for a cheaper Asian tire, Duro is a good tire.

please point me to the 16k price, where is it listed?

I have had extensive contact with Vincent as well, very trustworthy fellow... he has been mum on all these bikes and has yet to comment on the 125. Price point will have to be comparable to what is out there already or whatever gets made will sit and he knows that... the bikes in the pics are older bikes with the AL tank/CRF shrouds and updated swingarm... the old swingarm is super heavy. The new bikes should be a lot different.

The wait has been long with lots of mockery, kind of funny from people that don't buy new two strokes anyway and ride old models... I am looking forward to these bikes.

what amazes me is that there are still triple digit pro riders still chasing the dream... it isn't the prize money that keeps these guys going that is for sure.

General Two Stroke Talk / 1984 KTM 250

great advice by  msmola2002.... I have an '86 KTM 500 and the given parts link is very good, but parts are super spendy when you can locate them. Give the ol' YZed a look and you will be better off in the long run.

General Two Stroke Talk / TESTED: SMART CARB VS LECTRON VS TMX
« on: February 15, 2013, 11:30:03 PM »
That may be true Ford, but times have changed and more than one guy has bought one..... if you fitted one on your crusty Yamadog, it just may allow it to stay within site of the zoot capri Maicos.  :P

Not sure how much more time or evidence is needed... seems pretty independent to me. The Lectron is pretty inexpensive and probably would be better use of money than a pipe.

^^^ I hear that beaner.... I went thru all that with my 150 & even bought a Keihin... Ultimately tossed that and used my RB modded Mik... One guy over there who runs the piss out of his 125 in the dez said his bike ruled with stock jetting. Most if the issues are guys with WR's trying to make them run like CRs.. The WR jetting does rot bad however...

It is a good group of guys and I would buy the Lectron based on their testing or the SC..

It sounds like you may be set on the SC and that is cool, the wait for the cast version is until May...

another option is the Lectron with newly designed metering rods, these are getting some really good feedback  over at Cafe Husky. Great pricing and available now.

Stu won't know because he doesn't watch SX due to the "fooper" based power plants..

JoJo rules.... Wish the best and glad he is riding again.

General Two Stroke Talk / my new 2013 yz 250
« on: January 15, 2013, 04:31:51 AM »
All of that and I bet it sure was better than the last four years?!! Go easy on yourself and take it for what it is, you know? I am glad you bought a new two stroke and went riding!

27
I would unscrew the gas cap and roll a 2013 Maico beneath it, then tighten and ride.

28
CC for CC would be great.... But something more tangible, I would say fairly strict production rules in the 250 class.... Perhaps an age limit in the 250 class and some sort of 125 2t  type support class.

General Two Stroke Talk / You call those Whoops??

There were lots of runaway victories during the 2 stroke days, 4t SX is hardly cruise control like many on here imply... I am not a big fan of the circus like vibe and much prefer the outdoors. But, I still watch because dirt bikes rule and there is no other bike racing option... This past weekend had some great racing and I look forward to more.
