According to http://www.powersportspro.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/2/Yamaha.aspx it will work.

Look up your part # once, then enter it in their "Quick Part Lookup" and it'll list all models that use it.

Too bad you weren't close to Pittsburgh, there's a 2002 YZ250 for $1300 on c'list. The pics look nice.

I just think it was the novelty of the big new 4 strokes, so the announcers felt compelled to say the whole CRF450R title. That race was from 2003 so the 4 strokes were still just cracking into SX.

That's exactly what I was going to say. 4 strokes were fairly new to the pro racing scene then, that's why you see some smokers racing still. So they were a novelty like KTMGuy said.

I actually remember watching that race. I used to watch them all up until last year when we ditched our cable and now watch everything over the internet (pc hooked up to flat screen) or netflix, but you can never find the current races online.

Cool interview, thanks for posting it.

I have only ever used OEM or Wiseco, which I have had good experiences with both so no complaints from me.

The idea that a two-stroke "is not supposed to idle" (why in the world do they have an idle circuit then?) is nothing more than misinformation that I see repeated time and time again on discussion boards, and I try to correct it when I can. After all, isn't giving out factually correct information supposed to be the point of this board?

Honestly Chokey, Eric Gorr said in his first book (maybe others, I was only ever given the first one) that a two stroke MX bike should not idle when set up properly. So I wouldn't consider that misinformation, just difference of opinion.

Since I trail ride with my nephew a lot (stop often to wait) I like my bikes to idle, so I jet them accordingly. I ride a KX125 in the woods and have yet to foul a plug.

That section is definitely a sleeper. It doesn't look it would be that bad, but EVERYBODY was struggling so it had to be worse than the video showed it, lol.

I don't plan to use it either, but I am still interested to hear about people's experience using it.

I think the majority of us have had a 125 at one point in our lives. Warm memeories.

Heck I have a 125 right now and I'm 38.  ;D

It has nothing to do with being cheap. I read about doing a web search and I am inherently curious person. I like to know things. There are a lot more people using it than you realize RideRed. I think I may just wait until Thursday to get to a shop for the regular packing, but I find this interesting that the people that use it like it, and the people that never tried it bash it  :) . I don't like repacking silencers, never have enjoyed it in 30 years of riding and working on my own bikes, so I am just going to wait.

SachsGS how often to do you repack using the house insulation? I am intrigued and just might try it and until I can get to the shop.
