Technical / Sound Testing unfair to the two stroke

If you buy a house next to a train track do you potest the train company to move the track? If you buy a house next to an airport, do you protest to move the aiport?  If you buy a house next to a busy highway do you protest to move the highway?

They do it because of the perseption is that they can and they don't like the dirt bikes to begin with.  I've been in neighborhoods where a train was next to the houses, the houses completely rock and shake when the train goes by and sometimes they go by at 5am.  People there suck it up or don't buy a house there.

Looking on youtube there is some footahe of slmx. It says it is in cul de sac which is near where that track is so yoi should be able to find out more. I didnt go looking. I planned to stop there if ppl were riding bit the other few tines drove past no one was there riding.

General Two Stroke Talk / Amazing Find

So, currently I am in St. Lucia (a small island in the caribbean) and the airport is on the very south tip of the island and the hotel is on the very northern tip of the island.  There's one road that goes through the island basically and so I'm driving and half way up the island I hear a 2 stroke.  I look over and there's what looks like a very nice looking RM 250 (or maybe 125) blasting around a dirt track, doing jumps, and of course a cow sitting near by.  Needless to say I pulled over and took out my video camera and got some footage.  I'll have to post it when I get back, it's nothing special and I'm blocked by follage but still, a 2 stroke in a track in the middle of the caribbean islands is a pretty unquie site

PS The only thing that could have made it better and more amazing is if it was a MAICO (and you can take that to the bank GlenC!)

These used plastic tanks are becoming more hard to find so most people are forced to buy new ones for $100.  Can't find them like this one anymore, he's got some gold on his hands.

Vintage Two Strokes / RM250 Rebuild

2 Stroke ports are "chamfered", i.e. rounding off the ports so they aren't sharp edges.  This prevents wear and tear on the piston and rings as they pass over the ports (i.e., like going past a gillotine every stroke!).  4 Strokes have valves at the top so they don't have to worry about that

Was talking about the 'ramp' in the inlet tract.

Ah ok, I misunderstood since the last picture of the ports was the one shown by the question and I skim read so I just saw Ports, the last picture and assumed it was the chamfering lol
