I am watching the live timing of two stroke class, moto 3. Jerry went from 3rd place 4 seconds behind on lap 4 to 1st place, 4 seconds ahead on lap 5!

I tried that at a hare scrambles. Didn't seem to work too well with a dead engine start.

Open an account on phtotbucket.com.
Upload your photo(s) there.
Hover over a photo in your album view and you will have a menu popup, click on the "IMG" item.
Then go to you posting window over here. In the text area right click on you mouse and select "paste". Some gibberish looking kinda like

will show up. submit the post and there it is!

While a Detroit Diesel is a two stroke it is a far from simple engine.

Actually has cams and valves (only exhaust).

Has a supercharger.

Has a Turbo charger.

They do make a very unique sound!

I had heard that as well regarding the 6.0 and newer motors - which is why I stuck with the 7.3 when I "upgraded" to the more family friendly crew cab. Despite its additional thirs I really like the truck as well. Total problems so far? A couple of electric door locks the no longer function.

What year?

my '97 got 21 mpg (but had a 3.55 rear end). Rated at 235 HP (and a monster number for torque that I can't remember).

my '01 that I use now gets like 16 on a good day. Same 7.3 engine but Ford tuned it up to 265 HP. It has a 3.73 rear end.

I liked the older engine better. Enough power and MUCH easier on the fuel.
