General Two Stroke Talk / Reasons for 2 strokes not coming back?
« on: January 18, 2011, 09:30:05 AM »
You know, the more I watch forums chat it out over and over and over.  I think most people don't get it.  Not only on the 4 stroke, but even on the 2 stroke side.  I actually am not even sure we need 4 strokes and 2 strokes to be equal in pro racing.  I actually have sat back for a while and think the only reason 2 strokes aren't making a huge comeback, is they are always left on the backburner.  Here's what I mean. We always post links on here about magazines and videos comparing 2 vs 4.  Well, they are always one off shootouts or comparisons.  We need to start seeing full 250 and open shootouts in magazines and the likes.  Here's my reasoning.  First, even as DC states, 250 vs 250 is allowed in AMA racing.  Open is as well.  So, why is it then, that magazines are not doing full 250cc shootouts in magazines. I mean, are they advertising to the factory riders? NOPE.  They are writing magazines to sell and for parts and manufacturers to sell to the public and joe normal guy.  So, when that same guy doesn't see a 250SX compared to a CRF250 or a YZ250 not compared to a KX250F, then they don't go looking for them. Sure there are 1 off shootouts, but that still doesn't put a ranking on them.  We need to start focusing our energies on shootouts in magazines to be made for the general public and what they can ride and what is available. Meaning all models, TM, Maico, etc.  250 shootout, should be exactly that. WHO'S WITH ME?  ATTACK!!!   ;D

PRESIDENT SPEECH (INDEPENDENCE DAY MOVIE).MPG

Good morning. In less than an hour, 2 Stroke riders from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest 2 stroke battle in this history of MX.
MX -- that word should have new meaning for all of us today.
We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore.
We will be united in our common interests.
Perhaps its fate that today is the 18th of January, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom, not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution -- but from annihilation.
We're fighting for our right to ride, mx tracks to exist.
And should we win the day, the 18th of January, will no longer be known as an motocross holiday, but as the day when the world declared in one voice:
"We will not go quietly into the night!
We will not vanish without a fight!
We're going to ride on!
We're going to previal!"
Today, we celebrate our 2 stroke Day!

General Two Stroke Talk / Finally 125's again
« on: January 14, 2011, 04:19:44 PM »
Looks like DC got sick of our crap  :P  They are planning some type of 125cc races. Via Racerhead.

Someone over there said we are going about it the wrong way. Well, I've seen a lot done, with complaining. Look at all the land closings because of it. Look at things that happen on youtube and facebook that change big companies because they don't want to have a viral impact.  Well my friends, it's been going viral and will only get worse. More and more are turning, and more and more are opening their eyes.

General Two Stroke Talk / Conspiracy
« on: January 09, 2011, 06:45:34 PM »
Something you guys can ask the guys who say we are conspiracy theorists about the 2 strokes being killed out on purpose.  Here's a question you can ask them.  Do they believe that the OEM's had a goal of producing 2 sets of motorcycles? 125 and 250f, and a 250 and 450f? Ask them if they really believe that the OEM's wanted two sets of each class bike.  I was asked this question today from someone in the know.  They said, we are so stuck on the after math, not the intention from the first 400f that was tested with Doug Henry.  Their goal with that bike, look at it first, I was told.  If they weren't intending to kill off the 2 stroke with that first bike, then they would have planned on producing both sets. We all know that would never be the case. So we can conclude, it's one or the other....

Thought I would post up a pic of the motor in the frame. The pipe is definitely gonna stick out.  But man I can't wait to finish it. I have the swingarm and the radiators on the way.  CRF150R fart frame.  Sad, the crf150r motors are now worth almost as much as the whole bike. They are hot commodities, because the bikes go through the motors so fast.

General Two Stroke Talk / Add to list of reasons 4 strokes are great...

Even the pro's are starting to see changes because of the beloved fart machines.
Twitter: Josh Hill-The SX tracks were so much better in 95
Chad Reed-True that! Bring back whoops and big berms.
Josh Hansen- And the big rhythms. Tracks are horrible now
Chad Reed- Skills & Technique would be useful
Josh Hansen- Isn't that the truth, until then keep watching NASCAR and learn how to draft

General Two Stroke Talk / The insiders say they don't want 2 strokes back?
« on: December 29, 2010, 10:55:32 AM »
That was the message told to us last year. But why is it, at every chance, retired riders like Langston, Mcgrath all say they would like to see them again. PC Mitch basically said it in the video. DV and Motoconcepts are running one. So who exactly is saying they don't want them? So when they say, we asked around the pits, does that mean, OEM's are the only one's in the pits now?  LOL

General Two Stroke Talk / Video Mitch PC

Kinda interesting that GuyB posted it. Because it kinda talks about how much more it takes PC even to build them. It also talks about how a 2 stroke loses power, but the 4 lets go..  Watch mainly 3:00 and on and it tells the truth.

General Two Stroke Talk / Mcgrath speaks again.

Watched the CBS show today, and he said something like. "The tracks have changed, because it is hard getting those big 450F's stopped."  Something like that, and they just blew it off without any acknowledgement what so ever.

General Two Stroke Talk / Had to dump another 4 stroke
« on: December 13, 2010, 07:54:30 AM »
I had gotten my wife a DRZ125 for Christmas, but seriously, I just don't like 4 chokes for myself. To all those who like them, great.  But for me, I had to sell it after riding it 1 time and picked her up a CR85RB 2006 Yesterday. I'm gonna tone down the topend and give more lowend by putting blocks and stiffer reeds in.  8)   Almost there. Have 1 4 stroke for now still. CRF50.
Current lineup:
CRF50
CR85
CR125 soon to be CR144
CR250 motor, CRF150R Frame making a super mini
CR500AF
Still need CR250 05-07 model.

General Two Stroke Talk / I just figured something out.

This is exactly the same thing as I keep hearing on the passing of the 150cc and 300cc rule. It's so similar, it's eery. Keep making excuses, all while saying you fully support the change.
