I have the service manual but can't find it.  I installed a new top-end and the gasket kit came with two base gaskets (one green and one black).  Since I only had the green one installed originally I only used the new green one and left out the black.  Bike seems fine after initial break-in but I want to make sure.  I measured .50mm after the top-end inspection.  All seems well so far but I would like to know the clearence allowences if anyone knows. Thanks!

Photos & Videos / learning stoppies!!!
« on: March 16, 2010, 08:45:03 PM »
From learning to do stoppies first on my streetbike which is a big and heavy Buell I found that I should prb stop that nonsense and get good in the dirt first.  I found that my 125 is almost too easy to do them on.  I never tried them before back when I was riding and racing (took a long vacation).  These were the first day doing them.  they are easier (to me) then a wheely.  And more fun!!  Any pointers on learning how to ride them out??

Vintage Two Strokes / Would an 89 be vintage?:) with pics

It wasn't too old when I rode it...but I guess you could say it's a future classic!  By far my favorite year.  87 was a better bike many would say...but not for it's looks.  Anyway, I raced this in 125 C and schoolboy.

Anyone have a link to the manual online?  OR can show me where to download?  I did this for my CRF 450 from a messaboard, so I'm hoping I can do the same for my 125

Technical / Should I bore or stay stock? rebuilding my CR125
« on: March 14, 2010, 08:08:24 PM »
I have an 02 CR125 and am rebuilding top and bottom.  My cylinder wall and piston are scratched but I didn't lock it up.  The rod needs replaced also.  So I was considering boring to a bigger size.  I'd like to go as big as I can and get as much power out of it as I can.  But if boring it out is going to mean it will take a lot more work and money then I'd rather just stay stock.  I can do everything for about $500 (crank kit, piston, seals, gasket, new cyclinder, etc)  but I would like to just have my cyclinder bored and get a larger piston.
If I do bore....is that all I need to do?  Do I need to worry about doing work on the powervalve too?  How about the crank, any work there?  Thanks for the help!!!!
