Gorgeous bike
How well does the number plate fit?

It dosent fit at all! I had to add an inch spacer to the top mounting screw, as well as a longer screw.
The old style number plates had plastic nubs on the plastic that went into the clamps, the new style is reversed. so I had to fab up some small mounts to keep it in place at the bottom.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

i like the graphics ,but you should extend it to the fenders an number plates

That was my plan at first...but it didnt fit in the budget...I ran out of money for any more cosmetic flair.

Sapper...Yes that is the fender and numberplate from a 2010 and 2011 yz450

Technical / Re: CR125 Build up
« on: March 07, 2011, 01:11:15 PM »
I would really suggest replacing the tank. I had hairline cracks in mine(before the rebuild) and it ended up failing deep in the woods and by the time I got back to my truck I was soaked in fuel from my waist to knee, and my bike was covered in fuel aswell. This can be very dangerous.
I scored one from clarke directly really cheap from their scratch and dent sales. If you want really really cheap you could always get a used one off ebay, I wouldnt trust the plastic weld technique though.

Good luck, and it looks like a fun project!

General Two Stroke Talk / Re: Black rims...

I laced up a set of "pro-wheel" rims last summer. They were very well priced, and only took me a day to tear down and lace up(a very long day)
I didnt see the use in spending 500-600 dollars on a wheelset when all I wanted was the rim color. I also sprayed the hubs blue while I had them apart and now they look like a factory rim set.

I reccommed checking your spokes first, if they are in rough shape you may have a bit of a hard time re-truing the wheel.
