Just talked to the boss man and confirmed WE WILL BE RUNNING A 25+ CLASS. 25+A and 25+B/C. Also we we be using a vet class system I've been pushing for. We will have 30+A and 30+b/c all other old guy classes will be OPEN CLASSES NO A/B/C. 35+ 40+ and 45+ will be open classes with 50% pay back cash. Also They will pay back 50% of the field instead of the customary 1 for 3. Example if we have 20 riders at 35 bucks apiece thats 700 bucks in entries so 350 in cash will be paid out at 175 a moto to the top 10 riders. Remember we still have 150% payback for our expert/pro classes. and 100% for 25+A and 30+A. weather as of now is forcasted to be perfect sunny and temps in upper 60's low 70's. hope to see everybody next week. Oh and on a sidenote the knee brace people called me today my brace is finally in! I'm gonna try to ride for first time since i tore my acl in early Aug. actually i try once before but it went very badly popped out after a quarter of a lap and hurt like hell. But I really dont wanna sit on the sidelines for this one! and as always BRAAAPPPPPPP!

From what I've been hearing they will be a mid 2012 release of an updated rm line. possibly something like a rmz framed 2 stroke.

Hey Burn. i saw your post on Vital and also the responses it was gettin. this led me to reconfirm with my contacts if the info given to me was firsthand and honest. I called up the my contact who is the manager of a very large and motocross heavy local dealer that personally knows mr cernic. he promised me that he himself spoke directly to Jeff Cernic and Jeff cernic told him that it was very likely to happen. I have no reason to believe he is being dishonest or misleading with me. I asked him if he ever went on vital he said no but he may check it out and chime in tommorow. So there you have it for what its worth.
                                                                                                                                      Sincerly, TWO STROKE TODD

PS if you wanna talk hit me up at rodspindel@comcast.net we can exchange info!   PSS Two Stroke Motocross Fest Sept 17-18th at Sleepy Hollow MX spread the word!

General Two Stroke Talk / Rumors confirmed?
« on: April 23, 2011, 01:43:16 PM »
While attending a local race last weekend i heard an interesting rumor that Suzuki was bringing back the 125 for 2012. This led me to make a few phone calls and not only have i found out that this very likely but was told that suzuki will have RM85s RM125s AND RM250s back in the states next year! This comes straight from what is probably the largest and biggest name in suzukis in the north east Jeff Cernic. I really hope its true cause if it is i see a new 125 for the kid and a new 250 for dad in my future.

Willy Musgrave (422) has been racing a 2001 Honda CR250 two-stroke as part of an upcoming MXA story. He likes it and says he will never return to a four-stroke.

Just saw this at MXA and had to share!

General Two Stroke Talk / Re: 2 Stroke National
« on: December 13, 2010, 08:05:31 AM »
As mentioned her before Sleepy Hollow MX in PA is planning on hould our own 2 stroke national next fall as well! We only have one final hurdle to clear before we jump balls deep into promoting and setting up this event. and  that is a meeting with the twp. zoning board to request the extra dates we need to add it to our schedule. The meeting is set for 7pm this wednesday night. Looks good for the ok. But didnt want to jump the gun on promotion til we were 100% sure we could make it happen. Look for a post late wed. night or thurs. morn on the outcome.

General Two Stroke Talk / Re: RM265!
« on: November 23, 2010, 07:26:10 PM »
Here is what i have learned through the process of this build. Only two shops in the U.S. have the 280 pistons for the RM. One is Eric Gorr and the other is Boyeson. I tried to purchase one from boyseson but I was unable to. At the time i was pestering Dag for one I had no idea he had other things on his plate. :( So we called up wossner who makes the pistons for them. These are top quality units! But at 200 plus for one I decided at that point to go with the 265. WHY? Because I was told the 280 is pushin
the limits of the RM cylinder and the the 265 kit was far more reliable. The inner head gasket is the limiting factor on size. I've been told the 265 is very reliable so long as you use a quality crank as in no hot rod rod kit! I went with the pro X rod kit. My motor guy says this is far better than the hot rod rod kit and very affordable compared to stock. Reliability was a major concern for me because I dont like to rebuild bikes more than twice a year. I try to do two top ends every season and a crank every other year this time i came up a few months short on the crank before it went. Again a hot rod kit! :( On the YZs I"m told 285 is the limit with the stock cylinder and head gasket? I hope this helps answer any questions. Tomorrow I'm gonna really try to put a few hours on my new motor! I"ll let you guys know how it goes.

I thought about doin the 280 as well as a matter of fact i wanted to do it! But gettin pistons turned out to be expensive and difficult.  Nobody makes one and to have one or two made was over two hundred bucks a pop. If i could spring for ten or  more it was closer to a hundred each. So the 265 was it. As for bottom end i can tell ya this thing rips! I had a normal 450 guy ride it and he's a thumper lover but his first words off of it were. Dude i could ride this! Give kb5 a look. Hell call em up talk to Brad. Tell em i sent ya. Im gonna try to work out a deal for site members with him on the full kits. Bore recoat cylinder porting head mods power valves cut plus all parts for about 800 Total finished done complete. We talked a little today but will talk more early next week.
