From what I've read the doc that helped design the omega is also one of the people who designed the leatt but wouldn't sign off on it because of the risk of spine injurys.

I think I'm going to go with the omega neck brace instead for my son I don't like the part that rest on your spine if that part don't break on impact it could break your back. I've seen it happen to one kid already the omega spreads the pressure over the shoulders.
