Okay took it all apart and here is the problem i think! The shift shaft can move horizontally through the case and is suppose to be held in place by the tab shown in below pics. The tab on inner case has been ground down in fashion (looks to be man made) i would say almost 1/3 inch. When i opened it up i found the little spring that holds the fork and the shaft laying in the bottom and spring was all bent up and sheared. So i know im losing shifting from the spring being sheared off.
Now... I moved the shaft all the way out and the little tab that the spring goes through hits the kickstarting gear. So i think what is happening is the tab on the inner case that is ground down is letting the shaft move to far over and the spring is getting sheared off by the kickstarter gear! What do yall think? Is there suppose to be this much space between tab and shift shaft?
