Photos & Videos / 2005 CR 125 build
« on: June 05, 2012, 08:24:45 PM »
it deffinitly has a lot more hit down low but the mid is where i noticed the biggest difference. when all was stock it had a very short rpm range that you could ride it in, more so than any other 125 ive rode it was super peaky. the pipe, silencer and reeds gave me a lot more usable power range. i met a guy at the track who had a 06 or 05 cr 125 and he said he threw on a pc pipe and silencer then switched to fmf and said there was a huge difference between the two with the fmf giving more power through out. the other thing is that i havent had time to dial in the jetting but it was supppperrr rich stock and even though i put the pipe and reeds it still seems to run really rich.

First off i want to give a big shout out to TSM's own Andrew Cameron for taking me to the track (OPMC). Ive never really rode an actual track before and it was a blast. He gave me tips on cornering and pushed me to try bigger jumps. Here are a couple pics of us having some fun.

Hey guys, so fishing season is finally over (thank god) and now its time to spend a little hard earned money. i just ordered a pc exhaust with the shorty silencer and a vforce 3 reed cage. i was wondering if this is gonnna screw with my jetting? the bike is a bone stock 2005 cr 125. I will prolly order more goodies for it so i will post some pics once its all put back together.

hey so i have the bike torn down again...the float chamber gasket got messed up (most likely during reinstall)..the bike seemed to run smoother but still wide open after i cleaned everything. do you think i fixed the original problem and now it is the gasket that is the problem?

on my first bike (ds 80) i had to do the same thing..keep it premix. i think i ran mine about 40:1 you really wont need to go lower than that

ok i have the bike torn down now..the carb looks fine but why would blowing in the over flow tubes make the bike start with a frayed throttle cable

Technical / carb problems
« on: May 08, 2011, 01:55:22 PM »
hey guys so i just got back from alaska and my bike has been sitting for a couple months (2005 cr 125). i had my cousin come a ride it around for a little bit while i was gone. i went to start it yesterday and it wouldnt fire..i changed the plug and it still wouldnt go. i think he might have ran some bad gas in it because i blew into the over flow tubes and it started but was stuck wide open. im thinking maybe the floats are stuck open but im not a very good mechanic. what are your thoughts
