Without degrading this thread into gun stuff... yeah Stu you're in the wrong country.  In Georgia, USA you can have anything under .50cal, semi-automatic.  Anything else (SBR, supressor, automatic) requires a tax stamp and one week wait

What year YZ?

2005+ yes to case grinding and yes to rejetting.  Not sure on older models.

You do not need a machine shop to do it.  It can easily be done with a die grinder or Dremel tool.

I rode a riding buddies 11 150SX this fall and was blown away.  He also had his 09 YZ125 at the track and it was interesting switch between the 2.  The KTM had better ergonomics, better power, better brakes, turned better.  The most surprising thing was how good the shock suspension was.  Much better in the whoops and it did not kick or do anything weird.  And it was set a little stiff for my weight.  It would be very interesting to see how it works set for me.
