I haven't found any "cheap" aftermarket baskets, they're all at the $150 range, which sounds like a lot for a basket. And I've found other lightly used baskets for cheaper too. Can you elaborate more on how to properly file it?

Assembly?? What about a new basket? Would it be risky to file it?

I think you need to invest in a torque wrench or stop eating your Wheaties  :D

Lol! Perhaps. However this happened when I was unscrewing that hole, but now that I think about it, it's kinda expected. I once tapped this hole because it was stripped. And it's in a horrible condition and I can see now how it happened. I sealed with JB weld yesterday, and now it seems to be okay, very sturdy. Now I'm having clutch problems..

It's on the right side of the motor, right next to the clutch cover. It's for checking the oil level I believe. I applied some JB weld for now to see if it holds.

Thanks alot for the help! The spike worked well, slowly but surely. However, my bad luck didn't end there...

I finished the clutch, and starter to prep for the oil and when I took out this bolt...

So, JB weld the pieces and the screw in there forever?

Damn, it's a lot more work than I was expecting! The PB blaster idea sounds good. I'll get some, take the gas tank out, put the bike on it's side and spray some on the bolt. Wait a couple of days and hammer away. I really wasn't expecting it to be this tough, I used a metal cylinder and a 10lb hammer and nothing. I did strip the bolt, and I already ordered a new one. This is annoying. :\

Technical / Swing Arm bolt stuck!!!

How do you get the Swing Arm Bolt? I've hammered it for a whole hour and no budge! Will a torch work? Is there something special I need to do before removing it?

Back story: After I did my top end, I decided to replace my swing arm, rear hub, and shock linkage bearings since they were all loose. After taking everything apart I've found out I was right and most bearings are ceased. However, I cannot take out the swing arm bolt, which I obviously need to replace the swing arm bearings! I'll take pictures and videos if it helps. Thanks!

Here is the bike before the rear suspension was taken off.

That's a relief to hear. What kind of piston did you use?

So I finished installing the top end today. When I pump the kick start it's very tough and firm. No leaks as far as I can tell as of now. My friend noted me on something though, I never filed the piston rings, I wasn't even aware of such practice. Should I take the jug out and do them? I'd think they would come ready for installation since it all came together.

Haha yeah, duh. I'll check for leaks when the top end is done. I had a bit of lack of luck today since the forks I bought didn't fit my tree. Anyway, I've been reading my service manual alot and one of the things I noticed is that the clips look difficult to take out, is it? And should I take out my power valve cover?

No I didn't leak test it. Where exactly are the crank seals?

Here's a pic when cleaning the engine, before taking the top end apart.
