No way dude! This thing is mine for the keeping! I have put a lot of work into it. Speaking of that 125, I just picked up one for a friend. That thing is a lil snazzy itself. Not a 360, but super fun to ride at the track. His is an 04 125 Sx.

Thanks for the info. I have experienced some of these issues. Good tips. It is a fun bike and I will probably never part with it. I will post some pics as soon as I can.where did you get the larger cutaway slide? It seems they may share the same one. The engine looks almost identical to the 380 in the photos. Also, after hunting down parts for this 360, I found that it shares a lot of the same parts as the older 250 and  the 300's.

I have myself a 1996 Ktm 360 mxc/Sx. I have only found this bike in the 96' and 97' model years. I have done much research, even ordered 96 and 97 issues of dirt rider and dirtbike magazines trying to obtain info on the bike. Im pretty sure the 360cc was only available the 2yrs, and all the specs I have. My question is has anyone else owned one of these neat bikes. If so, do you have any feedback? Like why did they only make it for two years? Because they came out with the 380? I don't know, but would like to. Any info would be great.

Technical / FMF vs. Pro Circuit (2 stroke pipes)
« on: May 05, 2012, 02:51:34 AM »
I was just about to post the same question when I came across yours. I'm stating to believe that they really are both good. It's more of a personal preference I guess. I was torn between both.after looking and digging I think I will stay with FMF. I also think the stock pipe does just fine, but I feel, always the need to upgrade. (Plus a new shiny pipe? Hell yes please!) there just to many opinions to sort through, and it's always seems to be 50/50 with most products mentioned. I may even be going with FMF because they been around quite a while now, and they have in awesome logo. last part there was a lil childish, but I don't care.

Technical / 2 stroke oil advice needed
« on: May 02, 2012, 08:00:41 AM »
I've heard people say that too. "you can go this way but not back the other."
If you think about that for a sec....     It's the same in reverse. Unless there's some science to this, which if there is I'll stand corrected, I would have to say he might not be well informed. I've done a lot of reading on this subject out of curiosity, and picked up some good advice a long the way. Once I've done that I like to get feed back from other riders using products. Even still sometimes I can't make a decision.

No it's not true. Mixing some synthetics with some mineral oils can cause engine damage. Some oils just don't mix. Oil manufacturers usually suggest not mixing different oils together because the integrity of one or the other may be compromised. The engine won't know the difference as long as the oil that's in it is doing its job. But in the tranny case? maybe the clutch plates? They absorb and hold oil. But the amount that they hold may not be enough to make a "mixing" difference? I don't know. That's where my decision making issue lies. WHICH ONE do I decide on?!!

It will be Amsoil dominator for now I suppose.
Thanks for the feed back guys

I'd have to agree with you. I haven't torn the cylinders off either bike to inspect power valve gumming yet after using the 927. Maybe that would depend more on the owner/rider jetting preferences etc. I would like to use the amsoil because of the price for the amount. I'm no pro by any means, but my bikes are alway at the track and pinned. Maybe I'll try it and see what's what. Thanks for the feedback.

I realize that just because something is cheap doesn't always mean that it is. Has anyone had any experience with Amsoil Interceptor 2 cycle full synthetic? It is much cheaper, and is claimed to be much cleaner for my power valves, as well as provide better protection under more extreme circumstances, as opposed to my Castor 927. (which really is awesome stuff)
Suggested ratio is 50:1. Currently I mix 32:1 in all of my bikes. This is probably a worn out question, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
