Technical / Boyesen Rad Valve VS V-force 3
« on: April 07, 2012, 10:02:40 AM »
So decided its time for a new reed block for my 2007 cr125, just cant decide on what would be the better choice? I have heard that the boyesen is a better reed block if you can jet it to suit, but the v-force doesnt need much of jetting change.
What do you guys use? :)

Technical / Steel v Alloy sprockets.

Hi,
What material sprockets do you prefer and for what bike are you using them on. I was just wondering what to put on my cr125 when it comes time to replace them.I'll definetly replace everything as a set. But what do you prefer...steel or alluminium sprockets.

As far as i know (from what Ken told me) raceday that was meant for last weekend got rained out and was postponed till this Sunday. I went there last wednesday and it looked as though the track was pretty good and dry he also said this Sunday was going ahead. Meant to be clearing for tommorow so a good chance it'll go ahead .I'll talk to Ken and PM you tomorrow night.

Technical / what year is my suspension??
« on: September 22, 2010, 01:35:22 AM »
Hi,

I recently bought a yz 125, it was advertised as a 2007 model although stupidly i waited till today to check the VIN number and realised its a 2005 model. This doesnt concern me as i still got a good deal. Although, the seller told me it had an "08" suspension set-up, aparentley the last owner got the newer suspension of a wrecked bike and put it on this one. How can i confirm that my forks and shock were manufactured in 2008 and are meant for an "08" model. I'm not getting my hopes up on this being true though.Any replies greatly appreciated.

Thanks, joel.

Technical / How often should i do a top end?
« on: August 15, 2010, 01:48:32 AM »
Just wondering how often everybody dose there top end. When i bought my bike (2007 yz 125) it had apperently had a top end done and still needed to be run in. I'm now up to 16 hours...was thinking of doing it at 20 and then every 20hours after that, is that a good figure to go by?

Thanks.

I currently run a stock pipe with a powercore 2 silencer on my 07 yz125. the powercore 2 is very quite compared to the pc 304 i had on it before. Not only is it quieter it has heaps more top end, it did take just a litle bit off the bottom but i dont think it would be a problem with a yz250.
