Listen friend, you've got several good tips already, but let me suggest something real simple. Tighten the nut on your steering stem. My boy was having sever head shake on his '01 CR125R, and we cured it in about 10 seconds by tightening the steering stem nut. I may get flamed because we didn't torque it according to the book, but the front end is still plenty loose, and he hasn't had a bit of headshake since. Good luck!

That's cool, but seems like it would be more fund accelerating straight down the road for a few feet instead of just doing donuts. Nice kart!

I'm new to the forum and enjoy what I've found so far. 48 year old novice who just got back into the sport last year after 30+ years out of it. I'm enjoying racing with my 12 year old son, who competes with a YZ85. This bike is an '88CR500R that I bought as a basket case last year for $300. The engine is an '85 that I built from scratch. It's got a 40.5mm PWK, Boyeson RadValve, ported head, old PC pipe. Runs on pump gas and really rips. The wheely pic is in 4th gear sitting up front.
