Effen Awesome!!!!!  I had my first race at Sleepy Hollow earlier this year...wow...what an awesome track!!!  Jere and his staff put on a top-notch event.  I will have to e-mail Jere and let him know that if I can help I will.  Now that gives me some real motivation to get my YZ490 finished!!! :P

Ford does speak with forked tongue... we don't perpetuate myths.. we bust 'em. lol  :P :P

Honestly, unless you are a top pro racer, you probably will not need the larger rotor. That is unless you really like to slow down really fast!

Depending on the riding that you do, what you are trying to accomplish, the composition of the dirt you ride on and so many other variables... wavy rotors or over sized ones could be a bad idea...

Besides I've always noticed an increase in power when adding new plastics and graphics...  :-* :-*

From my understanding, one of the biggest advantages of the wave rotors is that the wave pattern increases the area of the rotor resulting in less overheating...sort of like cylinder fins on an air-cooled motor!!!

Amazing video!!!  Got me all fired up!!!  Glad to see another YZ490 fan...I bought one last summer and am slowly working on it.  Funny thing is the kid told me it was an 87.  Everything was painted black, seat cover was a Daytona Bike Week T-shirt, fenders and side plates were custom cut for that freestyle look...gotta love kids!!!  Turns out that the bike is an 89, though!!!

I wanted to get to Dilla back in the 80s to see my hereos rip it up, but never made it.  Then the four strokes came and I had absolutely zero interest in going.  Now that Project 250 is here, I am stoked to say that I will be visiting Dilla for my first time!!!  I am stoked!!! :D

General Two Stroke Talk / Re: AMA Petition

I enthusiatically signed the petition!!!  The AMA has made their point that equal displacement will not happen...hell, their wallets depend on it.  Maybe a compromise as suggested in the petition is the answer...for now...at least we stand to get a "foot" in the door!!!

I don't know if everybody saw this.  John posted on Facebook that their was a write-up about Project 250 in Racer X's Racerhead column.  If you didn't get to the website to check it out, here it is:

For you dedicated two-stroke fans, keep an eye on New York privateer Mike Leavitt, who hails from Gardiner, New York, and is a regular in the Southern NY/MSC circuit. Riding under the www.projecttwo50.com

While I don't like what the magazines did with perpetuating the 4 stroke superiority myth, you have to remind yourself of the old saying...Don't bite the hand that feeds you!  Manufacturers pay alot for advertising so, of course, the magazines are going to stick up for them.  I am also reminded of another old saying, "The creme always rises to the top!"
