I wonder what crazy rider was the first first to cut that trail? Or what was going through their head?

I have learned a lot from this site since I have joined. Nice to see 2 stroke only articles, how-to's, news, etc.

There is also the Cliffs terrain park outside of Marsailles, Illinois. I have not been there, but it looks like a good place if you want a challenge from quad, jeep, and truck tracks. They allow about anything out there to drive/ride.

I really like it, but it does have a high flash point. This means it's good for riders that are always on the pipe to burn off the excess. I have had no issue with spooge. I do jet my bike according to the environment, so that probably helps also. The negative about 927 is at 32 degrees fahrenheit/0 degrees celsius it does want  to separate in the fuel. At least that is what I have read, but I don't ride in cold weather.  ;D Plus, it smells awesome along with some VP fuel.  :D

That's for RRR. I have only been there for the hill climbs, so I'm not sure about their trails? The track I frequent is about 2 miles East of there on the Pines Road. RRR is located right across from the White Pines State Park.

Forest City Riders put on enduros, harescrambles, etc
Rock River Riders is more a 'private' riding ground. Memebership. But they do hold AMA Dist 17 Hill Climbs in Polo. It's a good time watching dirtbike frames with sport bike engines fly up a massive hill.  ;D
I forgot about the Cliffs. I have not been there before. Yeah Rocky Glen is even worse now that they roped off all the trails on the North side of the park. They changed the track up too, but I get sick of the quads flying around without regard to anyone else.

I'm from Forreston, about 35 minutes west of Rockford (10 miles south of Freeport). I primarliy ride MX, but I will venture out to the woods some times. Have you been to Rocky Glenn? I'm not a fan, but seems to be popular for the city folks. There are several riding areas like Fox Valley, Forest City Riders, Rock River Riders. I'm going to attempt the Leaf River enduro this spring or maybe fall? The first one is in March. I'm currently going to school in Macomb at WIU so I will ride Brushy Ridge trails sometimes. It's a haul, but a lot of land to ride. I'll be home for good this May, but come home often to ride on the weekends...Ok, almost every weekend. hahaha

General Two Stroke Talk / Maxima Castor 927 Deal???
« on: January 20, 2011, 12:32:36 PM »
I just placed a nice large order through rockymountainmc and realized they were only charging $22.99 for a 64oz bottle of 927. Everywhere else I buy it from is $33 or more. Good deal if you use Maxima 927!
