2002 CR125 carb
« on: March 11, 2011, 07:58:41 PM »
Im having trouble with my mikuni carburetor on my 2002 cr125.  It leaks gas out the overflow tube continuously while idleing, but not while riding, as soon as I crack the throttle it stops for awhile, but starts again when it idles back down. Could the float level be off? I didnt have this problem last fall. I cleaned the crap out of that carb, so I know theres no dirt in there. And I just rebuilt topend over the winter, greased the linkage and steering stem  etc.  and did all the regular maintenance stuff.  Any help would be appreciated.       Thanks Dan

Probably time for a new needle and seat in your carb (not too expensive). :D

yep you could have also accidentally buggered up the float level. I'd give your float tab a quick little adjustment before buying a new fuel valve.
If a pair of 2" brass balls isn't working, I doubt that the 3" model will make much difference.
