What are you riding this year?
« on: February 09, 2011, 12:50:50 PM »
What super-strokes is everyone riding this year and in what Championship/Class/Events?

I'm racing a CR125 in the British Masters series and also the National 2 Stroke Chapionships.

I know that I'll pretty much be dead last BUT the grin on my face underneath my VX3 will be from ear to ear!!.......and thats all that matters!!

No bike for me this year :(
I'm too buysy with work and after work i'm buysy with my (almost) 2year old daughter.
I started out on a Yamaha YZ 50 (with gears). After that a Suzuki RM80.
Then a few years of street bikes.
After the streetbikes got bored, i got a 1998 YZ125. Rode that for a year.
Then got a YZ250 from 1998 in 2001. Rode that till 2003 when i got more and more college
and work, so not enough time to ride. Also by this time, many local tracks were closing, due to
sudden noise increasements due to the rising population of 4 strokes... But there are some trails here too.
Nowadays, I have the itch to ride again! Perhaps next year Im going to look for a nice european made 300cc 2 Stroke Enduro. And i hope my 2 year old daughter will also be into riding soon!  :) :D

2000 Honda CR 250. AMA District 17. Open B and 450C (since apparently the tracks dont let 250 2T vs 250 4T). Then some random non-sanctioned MX races.
2000 Honda CR 250, 2004 Suzuki RMZ 250, 2004 Suzuki GSXR 750, 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi Sport

1982 Maico 490, 1983 Maico 490, 1984 KTM 495, 1986 Maico 500, 2004 Maico 500 this year.  Woods / single track and maybe a poker run or "ISDE".
Modest beginings start with a single blow of a horn, man.

I can not stress this enough, jet your carb on it! It is pig rich. While my carb is not jetted properly, i can still get by because I am in the beginners class, and am saving for a rebuild, rather than jetting needles. Oh, and drilling a couple holes in the air box helps a bunch too, and it is free!
I'd rather be riding...

Have any jetting suggestions for texas elevation 640ft
