380?  Doesn't sound familiar with me.  I know they had a 360 way, WAY back, and there's the 320, but I'm sure about a 380.  Was it one of the "lost Maicos" from the 90s or something?

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

Actually JETZcorp I recall seeing the Maico 380's advertised in the mid to late 90's and if I'm not mistaken I think the 380 was built when Maico's were being built in the Netherlands & I don't know who owned the Maico marque at that time however when I first seen the 380's advertised I thought that would be about the right size 2-stroke engine for me since I only occasionally ride MX and spend alot of time roosting offroad.I guess I'll just stick to my original plan of buying a 500mmx & slapping an 18"on the rear and a set of Fasst Flexx bars;D

I've got a 2003 Maico 380 Enduro (Kostler) and it is pretty much stock except for a W.E.R. steering damper and relocated footpegs.I've raced the bike and done very well in my age category (I haven't ridden the last three years - got hit BAD by a kid on a 520 KTM) and the 380 is an absolute hoot to ride.I understand they were discontinued because of crankshaft problems but mine has been reliable. I've since geared it down but I recall in one race flying down a wide open fireroad and I looked around and realized I must be going close to a 100 mph! That 380 is one of my alltime favorite motorcycles - they are that much fun.

Didn't know Maico did 380's. I have always thought that is a good size as a go-between of the 250's and 500's. I saw a KTM 380SX on omaha's craigslist a few weeks ago.

a new 380 Maico would trip my trigger. i don't have any interest in a 320. i think my '99 KTM 380 SX is the perfect engine size but the frame geometry sucks.
