Photos & Videos / New Beta 300rr enduro
« on: January 01, 2013, 05:22:11 AM »
Here in South Africa, the local agents invited us to ride the bike and review them in the morning, unfortunatly i only managed to catch the warm up on cam, the actual ride footage was lost. All i can say about the bikes are that they are well made, very nicely put together. We race Ktm and tend to compare everything to our 300's. Would i consider buying one the short answer is yes, my only concern out here is resale value if i try sell it later.

Hi all, been a very long time off the forum after a very bad crash that had me in hospital for 4 months and several surgery's

alas its now time to buy a new bike, so i took a little video of the New 2013 Beta 300rr enduro and the beta 498rr 4t, yes i know its a 4t but i posted both. Didnt ride much and like both, at first i thought the 4t was easier to ride but after the day i knew i gotta have a 2t again. Not the greatest video but still a lot of fun. try and enjoy

K8 turbo hayabusa with nearly 400hp on the wheel, power wheelies at 200-300kph no problem, just twist the throttle....

fantastic reading. i own a crf450x and come close to the maintainance schedule you mention for the most part anyway. I laugh at my mates on there 4t's when they wont start anymore on the side of a very steep hillclimb in the middle of nowhere, and they say i do to much maintainance when they never do any, but you right with the 2t's every now and again and maybe a new plug with mine every so often, not bad at all, and so much more fun to ride , the 2t

How much gas does your tank hold and how many MPG do you get?

Tank holds 9.5litres, and to be honest i have no idea how far that goes. I try keep her juiced up always. I think in your speak the tank holds about 2gal.

The scariest bike i ever rode and owned was a 2008 hayabusa that i put a turbo on. she had 350hp on the back wheel and could power wheelie at over 200mph,
i gotta couple of videos on youtube

k8 turbo hayabusa doing 300km/h

K8 Turbo Hayabusa  in this video just listern to the turbo spooling down....

and the second most scary bike ever is my dads turbo blackbird(you can see my turbo busa in the back round)

honda blackbird turbo 3

enjoy...

can anybody turbo a maico 700 for me... ;D ;D

I agree, I have heard TONS of stories of ppl being thrown off on kick back from Maico, but my Maicos never kick back unless the timing is wrong or if you flood them.  Otherwise, they never kick back at random.

That guy also rode that bike in the desert, Sand is very hard on bikes.

These are the jetting ranges for the bike:

Main Jet: 210 to 235
Pilot Jet: 85 to 95
Needle Jet: 282 to 286
Air Screw: 1.5
Slide: 170 to 180

And yes I do have a Bing Jetting Manual it's here:

http://www.maicowerk.com/Maico/Manuals/displaymanual.php?id=9

Ya, if you got no power then it's too lean.

Try these references:

I had strange problems too when jetting a flat slide on the 82 Maico.  One way it was too lean at certain RPM and other ways it was too rich at a certain RPM.  And the jets overlap, so is it the needle jet or the jet neeld or the pilot or ht emain.  Funny was that top RPM was good, but middle wasn't.  usually, that means needle jet or jet needle. However, turned out to be main.

hi thanks for that, i sent you a PM i hope you got it, still learning how this site works...
