It's on again guys. Starts this weekend, and there will be several 250 two strokes out there racing, and sticking it to the 250F's. As has been well publicised, we have rules that gives riders a choice, and if you want to ride in the 250 class, you can choose between either a two or four stroke. You can also ride a 450cc two stroke if you wanted to in the pro open class, but unfortunately no one does. Again there are some very good riders out there this year on smokers, so hopefully we will see some better weather conditions, as last year pretty much every round was affected by rain, which made the track conditions very tricky and slippery, making riding a two stroke on the clay based tracks very tough. Will keep you updated with some results, and hopefully we see some podiums, or possibly a race win by a rider on a two stroke.

Ha, yeah, but with Chad not riding last year, and rain at pretty much every event, crowd numbers dwindled, and even with the tv rights, G.A.S lost a whole heap of money last year. They still have significant bills that are still un-paid from last year.  You can see why they now will only televise replays, as this would hopefully draw more people to the event. As for scaling down the championship and only being east coast, they need to maximise riders attending and keep it cost effective for the riders and teams, as well as getting good crowd attendance to pay the bills and hopefully finish in the green, not severely in the red like last year.

Any way, it is Australia's supercross championship, and the 250 class will have two strokes out there battling. That is good enough for me.
