no premix= no delicious smell : ( I wonder if it will sound the same?

Yeah, but it leaves the market open for a premix smell deodorant!  :o :o

Hhahaha, I remember that there was a premix oil (IPONE if my memory is ok) with strawberry scent!!! (Don't be shy and rise the hand all of you which used it)
Really I'm not worried for the smell or the blue smoke, but I worry for the fun factor (power delivery, ease of maintenance, light weight) of the 2 stroke. That is why I love those bikes!

Thx guys.
I knew they were aftermarket bikes (DEP exhaust system among other), but you always want to personalize it (levers, decals, etc.)
Mmm, I really want one of those bikes, 300 mx nice.
So, after I change my car (it's a little old already) I'm gonna sell the pig (yes I've sinned with a 450) and put the maney toghether. Would you believe me that one of those bikes sales for aroun $10 thousand here in my country (and not for being a TM, in fact KTM 250 sx is a little more expensive)

The TM is a powerhouse. I don't think you're going to be needing things for the motor like an FMF pipe. If I were you I'd be looking for some asv levers, brakes, rotors, sprockets, suspension. I'm sure most of that you can find parts for, from more common bikes. Don't take my word for it though, good luck!

Right I've thought that, but a carbon pipe protector or, as you said, asv levers? From wich bike could I borrow them (does the TM match any Japo or Austria bike?)

General Two Stroke Talk / After market parts for TM

Sorry if this is folly to ask, but I was trying to find aftermarket parts (like pipes, pipe protectors, levers and the like) for Tm motorcycles, cause I'm evaluating buying a 300 mx. The fact is tha I even found aftermarket (FMF) pipes for Gas Gas, but not for TM.

Anyone have some info on this?

Yeah they are blue, but I have to say that I love them in blue. Never been really a fan of KTM orange color. Liked them most back in 94 when they were black/purple scheme.
By the way, they may actually have different suspension (and maybe) engine settings, but they are the same KTM EXC bikes (with different plastics and other minor things). Anyway, if the get a blue motocrosser, i'll buy one.

there shocks have always been off to the right... well on there newer models.. that 150 is sure a fun bike. i really want one.

Yeah that's true I had a 2004 250sx and the shock mount was not in the center but off to the right. That is not a problem or a flaw in design and does not compromise handling. Just think about road bikes (and I mean superbikes) that have a one sided swingarms or that have just one side "forks".

Ktm should start their own 150cc series!!! ;D

Heck yeah! Can you imagine how fast this would catch on?

Man, It would be awesome if they made a 150 series, and for that matter - a 250 series! How cool would that be.

Oh man I was thinking the same thing, that would be awesome!!!
When the 144/150 cc 2 strokes appeared I just wanted to race them, but under FIM regulations (that I'm tied to) the 150 2 strokes just don't have a category in wich you can race them, so damn baaaaad!!!! >:(

Oh, god, at last!!!! jajajajajjaja I would have to buy a airplane ticket and sleep the 10+ hours of travel from here to the US.
I think I'll just be wishing you the best luck, and will follow the race online.
Just don't push Mike to clear LaRocco's leap, if he can do it well if not very well then. Maybe a fraction of second lost, but if he crashes thats around 2.592.000 seconds lost (a month out recovering), so the first option is what I call a "fast lap". ;D

Its kind of blue-ish now with some nice and simple looks.
The TSM logo doesn't appear. On left top corner just says "Two Stroke Motocross" in white over a fading blue bar.

Funny how things go... we mention competing on a two-stroke.. for months folks in the mainstream think we are absolutely crazy...

Then they think about it for a while.... then KTM and Mike Sleeter decide to park the 450F and race a two-stroke...

Very Interesting!!

John, you, this site and ecveryone who has supported two strokes are making the world change!!!
Thanks for keep the fight, thanks for making this site John!!!

General Two Stroke Talk / Results of the yamaha YZ poll of MXA
« on: April 22, 2010, 08:05:56 AM »
Some days ago (maybe a few weeks) there was an article about the YZ250 two stroke in MXA web site and at the bottom was a poll to choose among other things who was the best yamaha rider of all time and to see if yamaha should keep the fight and keep the YZ250 alive.
Well results have arrived, read them at http://motocrossactionmag.com/Main/News/MXA-MIDWEEK-REPORT-6842.aspx. It's amazing to see how much love is there for the YZ250. If Yamaha keep making them maybe I'll buy one soon.
