2 Stroke in my hood
« on: November 13, 2010, 05:14:38 PM »
Somone just rode down the street on a newer 2 stroke.  It wasn't a KTM or Honda, and it looked like a big bore or at least a bigger bore.  Had a real nice sound to it!

Looking on the net I was thinking maybe it was a Husaberg, however, the bike was red.

I found this picture.  The bike looked kinda like this one, except it had red plastics.

Hard to see, but the side plastics had like "FDR" or something written on it in large lettering, like that one up there, but could have been "berg" or something.  I didn't get a good look.

It... almost sounds like it was a Maico?  They kinda look like the Bergs, but have sorta-red plastic.

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

As far as I know no 2011 Husaberg 2S's are coming to North America.Could it have been a Gas Gas?

Definately wasn't a Maico.

Could have been a GasGas, I know in the past they were also blue seen them before.  However, if you look at this one it clearly says "gasgas" in small letters.  Whatever it was had large letters on the plastics.  I should have thrown a rock at his head because he wasn't wearing a helmet and when he fall off ask him what bike it is.

Could have been, but the lettering was white, I did ride with a guy with an 09 Husky 150 yesterday, and looking at that bike it's possible it could have been a husky and I mistook the husky logo for lettering perhaps.

Pipe was definately silver though and the sweep of the pipe was more like the Berg I posted, it didn't have a sharp angle in it.
