will a 3$ NGK not work? we run them in all of our bikes and they work just fine
suzuki says the $30 plug is the only plug recommended for my bike , and If I run a different plug I run the risk of grenadeing my topend. If I had to change plugs all the time I would be seriously bitching and probably buying cheap $3 plugs but It dosent foul plugs anymore after I jetted/adjusted the carb.
whats the part number?
basically the gimmick going right now is the iridium does not conduct better, but is stronger, therefore the electrode can be smaller, which means less resistance. it's just more expensive. the gimmick with platinum is that it has a cleaning property when charged. good for cars these days that have the engine up under the dashboard. but the best conductor is still copper as far as electrode material.
i suppose you could grab a couple copper ones to get the thing jetted, then run the 30 dollar iridium one once everything is sorted. that's probably what i'd do.
