I awoke on Jan 1st with a strange situation. I have over 15 motorcycles and on that particular morning, NONE of then were operational (not counting my '96 Beta Techno 250 trials bike). I guess you could say my New Years resolution is to get as many of them rideable as possible.
The first one ready is my 1975 Husqvarna 175 Cross Country. I needed to replace the cracked Amal Carb (with a Mikuni) and put new crank seals.
The second one is my 2008 KTM SX144. I was supposed to race last weekend with it but (luckily) the race was postponed (poor advertisement - I was the only entry!).
I also cleaned the carbi on my 3 y/o son's '96 Husqvarna 50. So I could ride that if necessary.
I also got my quad ready for another season of abuse. It's a 4-stroke (2004 Suzuki LT-Z 400) but it only cost $200 and came with a trailer so save the Quad Puke jokes. Hey, if your buddy has a 4$ that is backfiring and he thinks he's about to blow it up...check to see if the exhaust is bolted to the head...or offer him $200 if he'll thow in his trailer!
