Time estimate for top and bottom end

I was wondering if you guys could give me a rough estimate of how long it might take to do a top and bottom rebuild on a 2001 cr125. The engine is already out of the frame, and partly disassembled. The cylinder, piston, clutch cover, other side cover, reed valve and carburetor are all off, and the engine is fairly clean. I have all of the parts needed, and the bearings are in the freezer, also, the work is an experienced licensed mechanic. I also just want the engine put back together, not put in the frame, could you guys please give me a rough estimate?

Should not take more then two hours. I once watched a mechanic of mine re & re a YZ 80 with a blown crank (he replaced the rod himself). Time from rolling the bike in to riding it out - approx. 4 hours!

I can do one in 2-3 hours provided I have the tools and parts on hand.

If your just doing the crank bearings sachs is right a couple hrs. If you are doing all the bearings and seals tripple that time, If you have all the tools case splitter crank puller ect. things will go smoother, You don't need them, at least a brass drift, take your time don't force anything and it should work out

Well, as I said before, the engine is out of the frame, and all of the parts are here, and I am getting a professional mechanic to do it, and i would be putting the engine back in the frame.

Ok, I have another question now, you know the cover for like, it looks like maybe the ignition timing or something(I am not a mechanic, otherwise I would have the technical term for you) , well, anyways, the cover that is not for the clutch. That cover i have discovered has a crack in it, and the surface is bent a bit. But I am tight for cash right now, would it be fine to just weld the crack, and fill the holes with silicone, for the break in at least? Also, do you guys have some good break in procedures for a top and bottom end?

If you know a good welder have it welded, don't use silicon/RTV, if you have to use anything use a good 2 part epoxy.
